My dad used to grab the turkey leg, personally I never liked it because of the huge tendons, I like dark meat thighs though. But last turkey I had was just a roast breast and I've got another in the freezer I want to use up. Way easy to cut up. People like white meat better in general. Smaller size more appropriate for smaller family than whole turkey. Easier to defrost properly. All in all a turkey breast is easier and better for a small family.
