Replacing a generator battery

Started my generator today for the first time in months. It blew a little smoke but still started and ran well.
I have had the same battery for the power start since I have had the generator, about 7 years now.
Should I be worried this battery is gunna at some point stop working?
Should i just replace it anyway?
I have seen some places that sell lithium rechargeables not sure if thats what i should get or something else.
Idk maybe im overthinking this.

Anybody bought a suppressor lately?

No this isn't an ATF sting. :D I just heard processing times for getting silencers has suddenly been reduced to as few as 3 days, using some new E-file system the ATF now has. I heard Gun Trusts take longer, but not the 18 months of the past.

Anybody have any recent knowledge of this. I've noticed a lot of suppressors on SliencerCo are sold out. Never seen that in the past.

What's going on?

Do cryptocurrencies make sense as part of prepping?

Cryptocurrencies have been around for several years now, when they started I thought little of them, couldn´t have been more wrong, now they seem to be here to stay and up to get a serious boost by the next admin.

They could be a hedge against serious currency devaluation / inflation and, of course, a practical way of taking your cash with you without depending too much on banks (we all saw what happened 2008) and beyond the reach of (most) governments.

On the other hand, like anything…

Powering a refrigerator/freezer with a generator

How long would your run it before you turn it off? Obviously it would depend on how often you are opening it up but in a scenario of long time power outage and limited gas/propane you'd want to cycle it on and off.

My thought process was to run it a couple of hours before we go to bed and 2 times during the day for a couple hours to keep the temps consistent. Have any of you been in this situation or given it any thought?
