Mt Lion found on the edge of a City

Longview is about the second largest city in N East Texas, ~90K population. But at the area the cat was killed it isn't far from the Sabine River bottom (about two miles). It doesn't really surprise to hear about the big cats, even though Tx P&W figure it's about two to three years old, but it does surprise me it's this far in, there's a large middle school and stadium just down the road.

30 day, 10 mile per day loadout

Crunch time. If you haven't read my intro, I'm leaving on a 30 day hunting hike in the Wayne Nat Forest in a few days. I'm shooting for 10 miles a day average, some days might be 20, some might be zero.

I'm over on my carry weight. Like always right at the end I start looking for comfort and pack too much. Here's where I am now.

Everything we bake with it is lighter, has better flavor and causes little to no digestive issues (YMMV.)
This is what we…

What America might look like if it went back to medievalism.

This is a very well thought out (IMO) video of how America might look if restricted to medieval technology.

Although not strictly prepper related, I think there is a large amount of overlap and at least good thought experiment.

This takes into account things like water supply, genetics, culture, transportation, etc, applied as successive filters over an existing map I think the process works pretty well for creating a plausible breakdown.

New Pandemic? “Disease X” outbreak in the Congo

A new pandemic (plandemic?) is on the rise. It is called the "mysterious Disease X". We have been down this road before, of course, but, timing is critical, and this is, no doubt, a volatile timing (I will try to keep this out of the controversial discussion thread). That aside…

The World Health Organization (WHO) cannot trace the origins of this disease (similar to the Covid-19 virus…). This outbreak is taking place in the DRC, specifically in the Kwango province. Further, a…
