How might you die in an apocalyptic situation? What are your weaknesses?

It's not fun to talk about your own weaknesses, but one iron-clad law of life is you do have some. "The Nile" ain't just a club in Phoenix. Know thyself and shore up your weaknesses. Compensate for them, mitigate them, fight hard to build up defense against them.

  • Maybe you're a diabetic.
  • Maybe you're on dialysis.
  • Maybe you're not in your best shape (like me).
  • Maybe you've overly-focused on one prepper category. (Cough guns cough.)…

2-2 pork roast

I had a migraine when I had to do my grocery shopping. I found I had bought 2 packages of pork chops, one a "value cut" ends and pieces, 2 pounds, and some of the "nice" pork chops.

I also bought some plantains as I like cooking with them.

In the fridge I had:
Green apples
1/3 red cabbage…

kWh Usage in your home/power audit?

What is everyone's average kWh usage in their house, and based on what sort of appliances/setup is your home?

As I start heading down the path of setting up a solar back-up/main power setup, I started checking the power usage of the house, and comparing different days when we we use certain things and how much power they are using. Figured this could give people a place to check comparable setups and see what they might be looking at.

I'm in a standard residential home, 4bdr 2 story…
