Practical Survival Advice

FD is due in today. My purpose is to fd dog chow. I have been raw packing chicken so it cooks while canning. The Plan is to cook the meats, starting with chicken, then dicing and then FD so it is a ready to go meal. But can you FD cooked oatmeal or rice? I am on the fence about doing " ingredients" or making whole meals then FD. I know we have some pros here so open to suggestions. As frivolous as it may sound, what I'd like to specifically discuss is the "norm" in dealing with dogs, be it curious or aggressive ones, who approach and enter your personal space.
