Tonight is the first night of the year here in MT that I've needed to start a fire in the house.
I have a little 1500watt electric space heater I've already used downstairs a few nights this year ,but this the first night I've had to turn on the 'main' heat, with nightime temps down to the 40's tonight.
My wood stove is downstairs, in my three story building, on a concrete slab floor so this time of year I usually only have to run a fire every couple days to keep the thermal mass warm. My…
