Caltrops as SHTF area/road denial

These are ancient tools finding new uses in current battlefields. They are easy to make ahead of time and store. Easy to attach on rusty chains in rows with multiple rows attached side by side and stapled to boards on both ends to cover roads at choke points or ahead of road blocks. We can do tthat easily ourselves with old dog chains and scrap lumber.

Field postcstaples used to create barbed wire fences into wooden posts and trees are great cheap ways too greate these caltrop "carpets"…
