Why You Shouldn’t Buy Guns And Ammo With Credit Cards

I found a video that says why you shouldn't buy guns and ammo with credit cards and its because you can get tracked and red flagged by the credit card company and the company might notify your local sheriff so you will be on their radar. Apparently there's 17 states that do this. Here is the video.

9MM Largo, anyone here have any experience with it?

I can't explain why, but I'm on an old gun kick. Possible because they are really well made and not "tactical" so the price is right.
I've got the Star model Super and the Astra 400 kicking around in my head.

Anyone here have any experience, warnings, any thing I should know about before I go hunting around? A shop near me has three Star Supers in good shape for $350 apiece, and that damned Astra is just so ugly it's lapped around the track to pretty.

Any discussion is welcome.

Uncommon items in your pack

Okay we all know what to pack and not to pack in our backpacks. Infact if we all opened our packs and compared items, we'd find that for the most part they're all the same. However, what about those few items that one just doesn't think about. For example:

I carry a pair of nail clippers. Never know when you're going to need to clip your nails, considering how hard it is to operate things with long nails.

What about you, what uncommon items are in your pack? Do share.

Vise missing part.

Does anyone have this vise? Do you know the manufacturer? I have had this vise for many years. I think I bought it at the Quantico Marine Base PX.

When I sold my home several years ago and moved out, I left a piece of the vise, a bracket, attached to a workbench. Bad mistake.

The missing bracket bolts to the bench and has two holes in it that allows the two rods to be inserted into the bracket. It fits very securely and allows the vise to be used and also easily removed from the bench…

Vise missing part.

kWh Usage in your home/power audit?

What is everyone's average kWh usage in their house, and based on what sort of appliances/setup is your home?

As I start heading down the path of setting up a solar back-up/main power setup, I started checking the power usage of the house, and comparing different days when we we use certain things and how much power they are using. Figured this could give people a place to check comparable setups and see what they might be looking at.

I'm in a standard residential home, 4bdr 2 story…
