Practical Survival Advice

I ran across a can of Campbell's Sausage Gravy the other day. I had never seen it before and thought I would give it a try.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was, better than some of our local restaurants try to pass off. It had a fair amount of actual sausage in it. I did dress it up with salt, ground black pepper and paprika and served it on an English muffin and scrambled eggs.

I see that Libby also has a version but I haven't tried it yet…

Today I did some research on heirloom seeds and passed the info on, to some friends. Also will be hitting the pool to get the exercise in. Will be reading my survival manual during my down time tonight.

Prepping can be quite overwhelming to beginners, but doable in bite sized pieces.

It would be neat to hear what all of you are doing.

Hey folks I'm going to be upgrading my emergency lighting system into a USB rechargeable setup. I'm trying to find a reasonably priced lighting brand that encompasses flashlights, camping lanterns, clip lights and headlamp and an associated all in one charging hub.

While my emergency lighting worked great for both Milton and Helene but I am in the process of upgrading to solar power stations than can easily support a variety of lights that charge on USB.

Who has the answer please?

I found this fungi growing on cutdown wood along the trail over past weekend, and I'm interested to learn what this is.

My friend gave me this to fix. All rusted. No idea what to do with it… will be a great learning project.

First, I need to create a penetrating oil … which I did. Works better than WD-40. Then I need to take it apart as much as I can and put it in some rust removal chemical. I have more than one method for that.

The dude wants me to create a new barrel for this. I told him to get me a .25 button. If he can't, I'll have to make my own button… never did that before.

Anyway…
