Sitting around tonight minding my own business reading email when one of them was a sales flier for a lot of different things I would like to have but really don't need. One item of interest was an inexpensive IR monocular. After Googling reviews for it, ("digital zoom" is always a red flag for me and optics) I got to wondering what the state of the art is now.
